Its basicly been a year since I have updated this thing. The fam went to California last month for my cousin Camerons wedding. It was a lot of fun. Jam placked but a lot of fun. I'm sorry but this guy is a complete looser. He obviously does not have his priorities straight. You have 8 kids and you need to be a dad not partying and hanging out with these nasty girls. Most of you know I love my gossip and that I am pretty up to date on whats going on. WELL....I heard this one on the radio this morning and I had to come home and check it out. I am a big Kardashian fan. Today I head that Khloe is dating NBA forward Lamar Odom. SICK!!!! He is so disgusting. Not at all attractive and his attitude on the court is a joke! Besides Kim, Khloe is my favorite Kardashian. Well she lost a lot of points on my list today. Hopefully this wont last and she will wake up from the sick dream she is in....COME ON KHLOE!!!

Not too much has been going on...Bret was in town, so that kept me busy. I missed him so much and I am so glad he came back home. He came back for work and I worked for him all weekend. We registered people for a big event/concert. We got to go to the party and see macy gray and david osmond(i could care less about him). We have been spending a lot of time at the pool. I wish I could go everyday but I have to make money. So as you can see its nothing too exciting right now!

Its been a rough week for me. My good friend Pent moved back home to Boston today and its been so hard watching him leave. We have worked together since I started doing hair. He is such a good friend and I will miss him soooooo much. My bosses put on a little get together for him the other night and it was so fun. Its not gonna be the same having him gone but I wish him all the best. Annkia and I have been good friends for about 6 years now. Everything I have ever learned about my job and how to cut and color hair is thanks to her. If she never would of asked me to come work for her 3 1/2 years ago I have no idea where I would be today. She is so talented and I look up to her so much. One day I strive to be as successful as her. She always makes me laugh and we always have so much fun when were all together. She's the best. Thanks for being the best boss in the world!!

A couple weeks ago my mom finally finished her last radiation treatment! I was lucky enough to go with her and experience this special day with her. I was so glad I got to be there for her. The nurses and doctors who took care of her were so great. She even got to ring the bell when she finished. Even though we had a little scare that day we are relieved to know that all is well and that she is CANCER FREE! Thank goodness. I love you mommy.!

He's Home.....

Or should I say he's been home....two weeks ago on Friday Scott got home from his mission. We are so glad to have him home. And yes I cried my eyes out when I saw him some down the escalator! He looks great and is so grown up. For most of you who know him you probably remember how much of a picky eater he was....well, he is completely different now. He is all health conscious and so set on eating healthy. I love it cuz now I have someone else in the house who eats like I do. He is back into the dating world in full force. I swear that kid will get married before I do! Its so good to have him home and see him everyday. I missed him so much! The day after he got home we ran a 5K for breast cancer. My dad, grandma and my moms friend Allison also joined us. It was a great experience and I am so glad I got to do it with all the people I love and to have my mom at the finish line. We love her!

My friend Kelsey invited me for the weekend to go to Scottsdale. I have never been so I was totally in! Wednesday-Tuesday is a good long break!! I'm not looking forward to the 10 hour drive but I am sure we will keep each other entertained. Its already 100' there during the day so I am sure we will be warm the whole time. Don't get me wrong....I love the summer but in May it being 100' already! WOW!!! I am hoping to see some friends and family while I am there too. Lots of pool time and shopping is what I am looking forward too. I need a vacation really bad so I CAN NOT wait!

Well my life hasn't been to exciting lately. I just haven't been too good about updating my blog. Sorry. Work is good. I am sad for the school year to end. I am gonna miss those kids all summer. Oh and the money of course! The salon has been a little slow and I am hoping it will pick up. I love my job so that makes it a little easier. So let me know if you need your hair done! lol....Oh I also got some clip in hair extentions just for fun! Don't judge...they are pretty fun though! My new friend Kelsie told me about them and so I had to try them. I will post better pics of them later. Oh and Wicked of course!! SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Amy and I went to the Lupe Fiasco and GirlTalk concert last week at the U of U. We had a fun time but is was sooooooooo COLD!! We were frozen lill Popsicles. They were both great but we didn't last too long for Lupe Fiasco because he waited an hour to come on stage after GirlTalk ended. Keep in mind it was between 30-40 degrees. That part wasn't fun but we made the best of it.

Last weekend we all packed our bags and went down to St. George for a weekend of relaxation. We all needed a nice weekend like this. Leslie's only request for her birthday was to go to St. George with the friends. It was a lot of fun! The weather was great but not too hot. We got in some shopping, sleeping and too much eating. It was too short but we enjoyed the time we got to spend there. It was so nice of Natalie's friends to let us stay there. Hopefully we will be able to stay there again sometime soon.

So as most of you know we had a little scare with my mom a couple weeks ago. My dad found a lump on her back while they were in San Fran and wanted to make sure it wasn't anything too serious. So they went to the doc and they did a biopsy on it and it came back positive for the same cancer that she had already had twice. As you can imagine we were all a little scared but she remained very positive through this whole thing. Wednesday I took her to get a pet scan to make sure that the cancer was only in that one spot. We got there at 11:00 and we were gone by 2:00. By 5:30 she had already gotten a call from her doc that it was good news and that it was only in that one spot. We were very relieved. SO....on Monday she will have the lump removed and then from there she will start Radiation. No Chemo!!!!! Thank goodness!!!! I know a lot of you have been very concerned but please know that we are all ok. My mom is great and she has very high spirits. As she said....Its just another bump in the road. She is a very strong woman and I look up to her a lot. She continues to go through and experience things that I hope and pray that I will never have to do. So just remember her and my family in your prayers on Monday and throughout the next few months. I appreciate everything that has been done in behalf of my family through this past little bit. We love you all.....

I work with the greatest people in the world. We are all very different but we all get along so well. It kinda freaks me out sometimes how well we get along. Its like we are all waiting for people to get mad at each other but it has never happened. NEVER!!

Annika is my boss and she had a little birthday party at her house this weekend and it was sooooooo fun. It was kind of a house warming party also. The theme was a fiesta!!! lol....it was hilarious. Another year come and gone....I cant believe it. I feel like it was just yesterday that it felt like birthdays were soooo far away! Well not anymore....they come too fast. It was a nice day....I went to lunch with some family came home and did some hair and later on my mom and dad took me and Nick to Trio. I seriously could eat at Trio everyday! Then on Saturday I went to lunch with the gang for mine Kj's and Dallin's bdays. We always have fun when we get together. They spoiled me with a gift card to Forever 21.....They know me well! I have the best family and friends anyone could ever ask for......seriously!! I don't think anyone is as lucky and blessed as me to have such great people in my life. Ok.....So if you haven't seen this movie please go see it. I think it was the sweetest movie I have seen in a while. Be prepared to bring some tissue and to fall in love. I have always loved Will Smith but I fell in love with him all over again in this film. Its one of those movies where you will be confused till the last 30 minutes of it. Unless your my Dad or Amy. I cant believe how hard I cried in it. When it was over we got up so fast and got outta there so no one could see how hard I was crying. PATHETIC!!

Today in church this little sleeping baby laid in this position all through church. Usually every Sunday he is the loudest child through all of sacrament meeting. The kid does not know how to whisper. I love Ian to death but today was heaven! Not even one peep came out of his mouth. Notice the cowboy boots....So cute! He loves them. Just like his Uncle Scott. There are not many things in this world that make me happier than watching the Jazz beat the Lakers. I am very serious about this too! Last nights game was one of the best games I have ever seen. Another thing that makes me happy is seeing Kobe upset when he looses a game. I can not even explain my excitement. So I am a happy girl because of this!!!! I love me some Sundance....I always look forward to when it comes here to Park City. I wanted to go to a movie but I didn't get around to it. My friend Andria and I wanted to go to a few concerts but each ticket to these shows were $150 and that was a little much for a girl who is low on funds!! SO.....we decided to try our luck and see if we could get in on our good looks and classy swagger..LOL. My mom thought this was pretty funny. Well laugh all you want but it worked! We got in on Wednesday to see Common and that was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! It was probably in the top 5 best shows I have ever seen. Too bad his girlfriend Serena Williams didn't show up! We also saw Chris Rock that night and wandered into some exclusive VIP rooms...We worked it and it was so fun! Saturday we headed up again and went to N.E.R.D and Nas. Unfortunately we were late for N.E.R.D and didn't get to see them. I was so bummed because I wanted to see Pharell but Nas was really good too. It was so cold up there and we did a lot of walking but it was all worth it! Until next year...

Today was teaching my first day of substitute teaching. I picked up this job for some extra money and to keep me busy. My friend Dallin teaches 6th grade and gave me the idea of this job. So he asked me to sub for him today. It was a good day. The kids behaved for me for most of the day. He informed me not to be too nice and that was a little bit hard for me but I did it. The early morning thing was hard for me and the snow did not help at all. It was fun playing teacher and I am excited to do it again. Teaching is a hard job and I give all the credit in the world to teachers.

I am so proud to be alive and living in this country. I have such high hopes for our new President and I hope that he can take a hold of things and show us some big changes. So I know this probably sounds lame to make a post about my bangs but I am going to! I have been wearing my bangs the same way for a while....Straight down and very blunt. For the past week I have been wearing them swooped to the side. This is where you all come in. I need your opinion as to which way you like best....and you cant say both! This last weekend me and my parents went to California for my cousin Cameron' s missionary homecoming. It was so much fun. Even though we left Saturday afternoon and came home Monday night we still had a good time. We got to eat at all our favorite places and I even got in my shopping. Sunday my Uncle John invited us to go to the Ducks game with him. We went to the game with him, my Aunt Donna, Hallie and Hannah and their friend Gabbie. It was sooooo much fun!!! I loved it. It was so intense and their was only one fight which I was upset about. The only bad thing that happened was our 3 hour delay at the Long Beach airport and if any of you have been there you know how horrible a delay there is. Well at least we made it home safe and sound even if it was at 12:00 at night! It was so great to see Cameron. He looks great and had so many great stories to share with us. It makes me so excited for Scott to come home. Only 5 more months!

When I saw that the Heat were going to be in town tonight I knew I had to go to this game. I love Dwyane Wade and he is the #1 scorer in the NBA. Plus he is so hott!!! I cant wait to see of my favorite players on the same court.....CJ Miles and Dwyane Wade. I cant wait! the Heat are 9-9 and the Jazz are 12-7 so it should be a good game. Well after last nights game which was absolutely pathetic I just Hope we can win. A season high of 25 turnovers....Please! Lets just hope that we can pull out a win at home tonight!

I have been so blessed to have so many great people walk into my life. I have a wonderful family who loves me and cares for me so much and friends who I would be lost with out. As you can see I have listed all the silly things that in the long run I could do with out but in that list you can see all the things that are very important to me. I hope that in this busy Holiday season we can all realize how blessed we are and how good we have it. I love you all and I am so blessed and thankful for having you all in my life.

Last weekend I agreed to join my friends and go see Twilight on opening night. Bad decision for sure. Don't get me wrong I loved the being with my friends part....It was everyone else and their moms, daughters, grandmas, cousins, neighbors and sisters there. They couldn't of been more annoying. Besides the annoying people I loved the movie. As most of you know I hated the book and I was surprised how much I liked the movie. I loved all the characters in the movie and thought it was very well done. I can't believe I am blogging about Twilight.....How lame. Anyways, here are some fun pics from the night. So i know this is another music post but I couldn't resist. I have loved Ray LaMontagne for a while and I was so sad that I didn't get to go see him when he was here a couple months ago. When I listened to his first album for the first time I fell in love with his voice. It is so SEXY!!! The lyrics in his music are pure genius. His newest album Gossip in the Grain is sooooooo good. My favorites on there are......You are the best thing, Let it be Me, A falling through and I still care for you. Some of my other favorite songs of his from other album Trouble are.....Trouble, Forever my Friend, Shelter, and my all time favorite song of his is by far Hold you in my Arms. I cant compare his voice to anyone else because it is very unique. So go to iTunes and check him out!

I am a sucker for good new music. I have a new favorite artist and her name is Lady Gaga. I cant stop listening to her new album. I have known about her for a while but her CD just came out two weeks ago. It's awesome and its a great one to make you wanna dance. Yesterday was a big day. I am proud to support our new president Barack Obama. I feel as though he is going to do an amazing job and make some great changes. I am proud to live in the United States of America. We needed a change and we got it. Either candidate would of been a good change. I was very impressed with both men's speeches. They were both very inspiring. I am so excited to see a new face in office and to see where he takes our country. I stand behind our new president and I hope whom ever you voted for that you can also. God bless the USA.

Pork and Pizza!

I don't consider my self the best cook in the world but my mommy has taught me a few things....and as most of you know my mom is a pretty awesome cook! Every time I ask my friends what they want for dinner when they come over they always ask for pork tacos. I must admit that they are pretty delicious! I have tried a few different versions of making it but I finally mastered it. Here's the recipe for those of you who have been asking.

1 Pork Roast

1 jar of salsa...homemade is the best

2 Cups of brown sugar

Throw all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low all day. The last 4 hours I usually turn it to high. Once its all done you will probably have to break the pork apart...some times it just falls apart on its own while cooking. Eat on tacos or even salads!

The other night I made the best pizza ever.....I was so proud. It looked so pretty too. Here is the recipe for this one too!

1 premade pizza crust or a can of pizza dough

1 red onion

5 Roma tomato's

Gorgonzola cheese

fresh mozzarella

1 Tbsp. Olive oil

Fresh Basil

I tried the pizza dough in a can and cooked it in the oven before I baked the pizza. After you cook the dough brush the crust with olive oil and the proceed to top the pizza off with all ingredients and cook for 10-12 minutes on 350.

Last night me and my friends from work went to see Girl Talk. They are a couple awesome DJ's from Detroit. The music was awesome but the people were crazy! They let anyone that wanted to come on stage and it was MADNESS! Some guy had some machine that shot out toilet paper....hence all the toilet paper all over everyone. I have the coolest boss in the world! I loved her hat so much....OBVIOUSLY!!!

Here are my top 5 favorite shows at the moment.....

Fringe......I love this show. If anyone loved X Files than you should be watching this show. It on fox on Tuesdays. Its a weird show that makes you think but I think its genius!

Brothers and Sisters.....I cant stand Kalista Flockheart but considering how much I love this show it helps me get over her. I love the Walker family. They are a little dysfunctional but you cant help fall in love with them.

Private Practice.....This is the spin off of Greys. I love Kate Walsh but I love Taye Diggs even more! I cry almost every time I watch this show.

America's Next Top Model.....Nothing needs to be explained!

Intervention....This show will make you cry and really be gretafull for all the good things that you have in your life. They take people who have all different kinds of addictions and problems from alcoholics to anorexia. They have an intervention with them and they are given the option to go to rehab and get help. Sometimes they take the help and sometimes they dont. Its a great show.

So i just started to read a book called the Mermaid Chair. It was written by the same woman who wrote The Secret life of Bee's. Well I was just sitting here thinking about how much I love to read. When I was a kid I absolutely hated it. Over the past 5 or so year I have developed a love for it. I just wish I had more time to devote to reading. I have a pretty good book collection that I have put together over the years. Have I read all of them....No!

So I'm just gonna put it out there and ask you all if you have any good suggestions of books you have read. Please don't say Twilight.......!!! I will forever think of that book as a waste of my sweet time. I know there are many of you out there who loved them but I am not one of those people. SO....pass on the reading suggestions!!!

The Secret life of Bee's

Friday me and the crew all went out and saw the secret life of bee's.....Let me just tell you all that you must go see this movie. I absolutely loved it. Not just because my girl Alicia Keys was in it but because it is such a sweet story. I had just finished the book before we went and saw the movie. If any of you like to read the books before you see the movie than read this one. It was very well written. Sophie Okonedo, Queen Litifah, Jennifer Hudson and Dakota Fanning were all in the movie as well. The story is about a 14 year old girl in the 1960's who leaves home with her "nanny" to find out about her past. Along the way she meets the Boatwright sisters who take her in and love her. Dakota Fanning also has a love interest in the movie and he is absolutely ADORABLE!!! His name is Tristan Wilds. He has the cutest dimples you have ever seen and that smile....LOL. Anyways, go see this movie ASAP!

So I have a list of my top 20 hottest men and one of them happens to be the adorable Aussie Simon Baker. He is too cute! Some of you might not know who he is. A couple movies he was in were The Devil Wears Prada and Something New. His newest show he is in called The Mentalist. I have been watching the show and I love it. It is a crime show where he plays a psychic helping out a team of investigators. He is pretty funny on this show too. I first discovered him in the movie Something New. It is such a good movie. Its about a guy who falls in love with a black woman and she is so scared to fall in love with him because he is white and her friends are so against it. The movie has a very strong message and everyone should see it. Check him out on his new show. He is just too cute!

St.George

We had such a fun weekend in St. George. My dad ran the marathon on Saturday, so we were lucky enough to go down and watch. I have always been proud of my dad but I don't ever think I have ever been so proud of him until Saturday. Seeing him cross that finish line was something that you cant understand until you see it. We stood in the pouring rain for over an hour waiting for him to finish and it was worth every second. He finished in 4 hours and 30 minutes and it rained the entire time. The wind was blowing so strong also. I could never in a million years imagine running a marathon in those conditions. He also said some people had to be treated for hypothermia.....NO THANKS. I am so proud of my dad! We saw some interesting things while we waited for him. We saw a couple cross the finish line and the guy got on his knee and proposed to his girlfriend! Its true! I couldn't believe it. Grandparents and Parents would have their children and grandchildren wait for them right before the finish line and run with them or carry them to the finish line. We saw grown men cross the finish line in tears and fall into the arms of the service men and women. It was pretty emotional. The second I saw my dad in the distance he had tears in his eyes and I immediately got all teary as well. It is such an inspiring thing to witness. I would recommend it to anyone. I cant wait for him to run another one and get to see it again. He keeps on trying to get me to run one with him. I wish I was a runner and could train to run one. It just seems so impossible to me. Maybe one day......We can all dream right???

Last week I was lucky enough to go to the so you think you can dance tour. I went with Tay and Melissa and Susie and her friend. All my favorite dancers were there and they did all my favorite dances. From bleeding love to the door dance they were all amazing. They performed for a solid 3 hours. I had so much fun! Most of you already know but last week Bret moved to Washington D.C. He got offered a great job out there and decided to take it. Being the selfish person that I am, I was sooooo sad and confused by his decision to leave. Once I got over it I fully understand why he left. I would of left too if I got offered the job he did and especially to get to move to D.C. It took him 3 days and he finally made it there. He is living in a 450 sq. ft. apartment in the city. I couldn't do it!! I miss him so much already and he hasn't even been gone a week. Pathetic.......He is a big boy and I know he will be fine in D.C. I cant wait to go out there either next month or in November. I have never been there before and I am excited to go. Bret has been a good friend to me for a long time and I am gonna miss him. I know he is just a phone call away but it will be hard to get used to him being gone. He is my best freind its hard to watch him leave but I know it will be a great move for him.

Alicia Keys

So i had the best day of my life up to this point on Tuesday the 18th of September. I went to go see my favorite girl ever Alicia Keys.....She is probably one of the most if not the most talented woman I have ever seen. Her voice is pure perfection. I cried at least 3 or 4 times. The words to some of her songs i swear were written for me....And maybe every other girl out there. There is so much meaning behind her music and she shows it in the way that she sings. Our seats were perfect. I would of payed triple what I payed to see her. SO worth the money....Gosh I love her. My friend Onree Gill is her musical director and also plays the keyboard for her. We were lucky enough to spend 30 minutes with him before the show.....We were supposed to go dinner with him before the show but you know girls, we took forever to get ready! It was great to see him though. Go buy her newest album if you don't have it....it is her best one yet! Please watch these videos and see what I am talking about. She is brilliant....I apologize for our off key singing. I tried to get you on camera Onree but i couldn't keep my eyes off Alicia! They are kinda long but they are worth it.

He is such a good friend to me. He is always there for me whenever I just need to talk. He always knows exactly what to say and always makes me laugh. I love you Nick!

Zoo Rendezvous

The Zoo Rendezvous is a fun event that I look forward to every year. Taylor's dads friend gave a lot of money to the zoo when he was alive and because of that we get invited to this fun party. Restaurants from salt lake all come and share their excellent food. Ruth Chris, Paradise, Baxters, PF changs, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Makado, Flemings, Acme burger, etc. were just some of the restaurants that were there. We all had so much fun and ate way too much! Until next year!

America's Next Top Model

I have a major obsession with reality TV. One of these shows just happens to be America's Next Top Model. I love it so much. I could sit on my butt all day and watch a full season of this show when they replay the seasons on VH1. Well today a new season started! Cycle 11 to be exact. It was sooooooo good. The models this year are the best that they have ever had. I have 4 favorites. Marjorie is adorable and blonde, she is also from France. Annaleigh is just really pretty. Hannah is from a city in Alaska where they had no electricity growing up....I know right?? Elina is the dark haired beauty, who I think looks like Angelina Jolie. This season there is a transgender girl, Isis. She was born a guy but says she a girl. Isis takes amazing photos but I dont think she is that "pretty". There is a girl i liked in the beginning named Clark (love her name) but she is a complete jerk (to use nice words). I dont know how long she will last. I think this is going to be a good season. Here's to another cycle!!!! Fierce......

Sick of being sick

So monday night I woke up at 330 in the am with a cramp in my leg and my stomach felt like it was going to blow up. Super weird. Then I started to feel nauseated and got the chills......These events started what turned out to be three of the worst days EVER! By thursday I thought it was gone and it came back and got me big time. I dont know if I had the Flu or what but it has not been fun. One of my friends claims that I had that one thing that you get from the pool...I cant remember what it is called. Well its saturday now and I am feeling much better. I am just glad its over. Thanks to my mamma for takin care of me!

This morning me and my mom went out to see my dad and his company break ground for their new building. Everyone and their families all made it out there. It was fun to see everyone.....Especially the Kate and Anne. If I would of known that I would of been walking in dirt fields than I wouldn't of worn what I did.....Don't Judge!!! I always have to roll up in style and over dressed! Its what I do. Royce has been so good to my family it was the least i could do to support my dad and Roger(my dad's business partner). The building will be done next year. This post is mainly for family who wanted to see this and some friends. Some of you will be bored with this post.

Rach and I took a trip down to Utah County to go see Ness and baby Libby. She is absolutely adorable. Ness looks great and is such a good mom already. Libby has already changed so much since I saw her in the hospital. What an angel!
